This dark grey all-in-one device has an extremely compact design. The HP Deskjet 2050 measures 30.6 x 15.6 x 42.7 cm (LxHxW). The device also has a USB2.0 port for easy connection to a computer. The print resolution is 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. The HP Deskjet 2050 produces 20 B&W pages per minute, and 16 colour pages in A4, A5 and A6 ISO paper formats. The operational noise created by the device in use is 6.3 decibels. For copying jobs, the HP Deskjet 2050 can produce the first copy in black & white in 18 seconds and requires only 32 seconds for colour copies. The scan function offers 256 grey tones and a 24 Bit colour depth. 1,200 x 1,200 is the maximum resolution. The HP Deskjet 2050 is the first to feature the next generation of ink cartridges, the HP 301 cartridges. These cartridges can be ordered in standard and XL varieties – the latter offers 2.5x more black & white prints and 2x more colour prints.
Changing the cartridges of the HP Deskjet 2050
First, make sure that the device has power and that the paper tray is filled. To remove empty cartridges, open the back panel to move the cartridges to a central position so that they can be easily removed from the device. Remove the new cartridges from their packaging and remove the plastic safety film using the pink tab. Insert new cartridges in the casing until they click into place. Then simply shut the back panel of the HP Deskjet 2050 to complete the process.
