The functions of the HP Photosmart C4180
For black & white test documents the printing speed is up to 30 pages per minute, while 24 pages per minute are achieved for colour text documents. The HP Photosmart C4180 creates pure text documents with a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi; in terms of colour the HP Photosmart C4180 works with a resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. Photos and text files can be filed in the 32MB flash drive from memory sticks or SD memory cards, for example, and subsequently printed. Normal documents can be printed via the PC or the scanner. The scanner works with a resolution of 2400 x 4800 dpi. The main paper feed holds up to 50 sheets of paper. However, there is a separate photo paper feed that can hold up to 20 sheets in the 10 x 15cm format. The HP Photosmart C4180 prints using HP Vivera inks with HP Thermal Inkjet technology, which creates photos in four – or optionally six – colours. The benefit of this is that the colours are even more alive and remain light-resistant over the years thanks to the special ink.
Replacing ink cartridges in the HP Photosmart C4180
If the ink in the ink cartridge has almost been depleted, a signal light is activated on the display on the HP Photosmart C4180. Turn off the printer and open the access panel for the cartridge holder. Once the holder stops moving, lightly press on the cartridge to be replaced to release it. It can then be simply removed and replaced. Then close the access panel.
