Technical details of the Kyocera FS-C5100DN

The printing speed of the colour laser printer is 21 pages per minute, regardless of whether the device is in black & white or colour mode. A paper tray with 250 sheets and a multi-purpose feeder with 150 sheets provide a capacity of 400 sheets. The output tray is designed for up to 250 sheets. Printing costs are 1.3 cents per sheet in terms of a black & white text form. In terms of colour printouts, the value is 8.2 cents per sheet. Printing quality with 600 x 600 dpi proves its worth in colour printing. The 256MB memory is sufficient. The integrated duplex unit only slightly loses speed when doing double-sided printing. When in energy-saving mode, the Kyocera FS-C5100DN uses 7 watts. The value increases to 477 watts when printing. With a weight of 28kg and dimensions of 245 x 518 x 455mm (W x D x H), a side table is recommended for the printer. The printer is operated via an LCD display.

Replacing the toner in the Kyocera FS-C5100DN:

Remove USB storage devices and paper and switch off the device. Open the front panel, press up on the lock on the right side, and remove the empty cartridge. Horizontally shake the new cartridge without pressing it too much in the middle. Then insert the cartridge and push down the lock. Empty the waste toner cartridge: Open the left panel, hold down the release latch and remove the empty toner cartridge. Remove the sealing cap from the new toner cartridge and insert the cartridge until it clicks into place.
