The paper feeder holds up to 150 sheets of normal paper. The output tray can hold 80 sheets. Power consumption in normal operation is 350 watts, less than 80 watts in stand-by mode and less than 15 watts in energy-saving mode. After a warm-up time of less than 35 seconds, the device produces the first black & white page in 14 seconds and the first colour page in 26 seconds. The Samsung CLX-3175 has four toner cartridges. The status LED and a message on the display indicate which cartridge needs to be replaced. You should wait a few minutes once the device has been turned off to allow the Samsung CLX-3175 to cool down. Then open the front panel and remove the empty cartridge using the handles. The new toner cartridge must be shaken well before being inserted to ensure the even distribution of the toner. Once the packaging has been removed by tearing off the tape, the cartridge is inserted in the correct slot and pressed until it clicks into place. The front panel is then put back on and the printer is turned on.
