Bosch Cartridges

Cartridges are no longer supplied by Bosch, but their toner & ink supply are widely supported by other manufacturers such as Oki and Italian manufacturer Olivetti. All fax models from the Fax 362 through to the Fax 382 and the Fax-Com 336 through to the top of the range Fax-Com 588 are catered for. Despite a halt in the direct supply of consumables, supplies for existing models are assured after a joining of forces with communication giant Siemens to form a new company that produces its own range of facsimile machines.

Consumable Supplies Maintained

Imaging drums, suitable paper as well as toner & ink have been replaced by aftermarket products built to the specifications set by Bosch and these are often described as OEM products despite not being produced by the original equipment manufacturer. The Type II toner for the 373 model has been replaced with an aftermarket product from Japanese manufacturer Oki, called the Type 2. This is to save confusion when searching for suitably compatible components.

The replacement consumables are usually priced more competitively than the original parts without losing any quality or lowering the number of sheets that can be printed. Printing with a typical toner cartridge will give anything from 1500 to 3000 prints and the difference is dependent on the device used and the density of the printed images. All images are printed with a black toner or cartridge which is the expected standard for these machines.

Using the Recommended Paper Weight

Bosch machines work well with typical A4 office paper with a grammage or density of around 80 g/m2. This will ensure jam free processing of large print runs, reduce wasted prints and help avoid excessive maintenance. A thicker grade of paper can be used if necessary and most models can be adjusted to accommodate denser media.
