Epson - Printer Cartridges & Toner

The Japanese company Epson numbers amongst the largest printer manufacturers in the world, and in the 2012 financial year it had a turnover of 10.6 billion dollars. It is managed by the Seiko Epson Corporation, which, in addition to printers and copiers, also manufactures scanners, digital cameras, projectors, computers, cash registers, LCD components and more. This includes, amongst other things, ink cartridges and toner cartridges.

The son of EP-101 - how Epson got its name

In 1961 when the company was founded, it was still known as ShinshuSeiki Co and supplied the company Seiko with watch parts. Seiko needed printers for its stopwatches for the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo in order to be able to print the results immediately. ShinshuSeiki produced them successfully. Four years later the company then presented EP-101 - the world's first smallest printer, which was integrated into many desktop calculators. After such a great success (1.5 million units were sold), the company wanted a successor to the EP-101, i.e. a son--and thus the brand Epson was born.

At the end of the 70s the first 8-wire printer for computers was put on the market in the form of the TX-80. Two years later cane the MX-80, which beat all records in the USA. Shortly thereafter Epson was far ahead when the company presented to the world the HC-20, the first mobile computer and almost at the same time the first LCD television. In 1984 the first ink-jet printer arrived and later the first LCD colour projector. In 1993, the Epson Stylus 800 became the first ink-jet printer on the market with the Micro Piezo technology. The Stylus series was available for almost 20 years – especially for private users – until it was replaced by the Expression series in 2012, a series that focuses on the new Claria ink technology: The pigmented black ink provides sharp texts, and the dye-based colour inks (three to five, depending on the model) provide brilliant photos. Naturally, you can also order the corresponding ink cartridges as well as the inks for older Stylus models, toner cartridges and various types of paper at inexpensive rates in our shop. Simply select your printer model and you will immediately see a list with the compatible accessories.

Large range of products from Epson

The company uses its ink-jet printers to reach both private users (Expression series) and companies (WorkForce series). Furthermore, there are special devices with which photo printing is particularly successful. In all of these areas, Epson supplies both "only printers" and multifunctional devices with which one can not only print, but also copy, scan, and optionally fax. The current models generally have separate ink cartridges. Thus, the entire cartridge block does not need to be replaced when the first ink is empty. Each ink can be individually replaced. Entry-level devices such as the Epson Expression Home XP-205 are currently available on the market for less than 60 Euros.

In addition to ink-jet devices, Epson also has high-quality laser printers in its range of products. These are primarily aimed at professional users, for example small companies. Of course, you can also find toner cartridges that are compatible with Epson laser printers - such as the WorkForce AL-M300D – in our shop. Furthermore, the practically indestructible wire printers such as the Epson LQ are in high demand - you can also find the corresponding ink ribbons here at toner24. The portfolio also includes, amongst other things, large format printers, scanners, label and register printers, projectors and digital label printing machines.
