Dell - Printer Cartridges & Toner

The American company Dell was founded in 1984 in Austin (Texas, USA) by Michael Dell under the name PCs Limited. With revenues of 62 billion dollars in 2012, in the meantime it has become one of the largest hardware manufacturers in the world. More than 100,000 employees worldwide (1,500 in Germany) see to the development and sale of computers, Notebooks, monitors, tablet PCs, smartphones and printers. Of course, Dell also offers ink, ink cartridges, and toner cartridges for its devices.

Every wish is doable

The special thing about Dell is that the company mostly sells its products directly. Private persons, middle-class individuals, and large companies generally order directly from Dell, per internet, fax or telephone. Computers and Notebooks are only assembled once customers have submitted their orders. This has benefits for customers, as they can have their computers assembled just the way they want. And it has benefits for Dell, as it hardly needs any storage capacity for finished computers.

More than a one-man show

In 1983 Michael Dell started selling computer parts, one year later he founded the company PCs Limited, which subsequently would be renamed as Dell Computer Corporation and ultimately Dell. Even today (as of mid-2013) the founder and name bearer of the company is the president and chief executive officer. One year after it was founded, the company built the first personal PC, was listed on the stock market in 1988 and conquered the market outside of the USA (first branch office in Germany also in 1988). Some of the company's other milestones include: the first Notebook sold in 1991, annual sales of one billion dollars in 1993, the first sale per internet in 1996, annual sales of 40 billion dollars in 2003. This year the US company also started selling printers under the name Dell. Previously, the company bought up multiple large companies such as the PC manufacturer Alienware and the software company Quest - and moved away from only direct sales. Thus, Dell devices can now be bought in Germany, amongst other places at Lidl, MediaMarkt, Conrad and Cyberport.

Ink-jet and laser printers from Dell

In 2003 Dell started selling ink-jet printers and laser printers (the first models were 940, P1500, S2500 and S2500n); today (mid-2013), the company only sells laser printers and multifunction laser devices in Germany via its internet shop. The shop includes the laser models for both black & white and colour printing. Furthermore, in addition to printing the multifunction devices can also copy, scan and fax. The range for the multifunction devices, for example, stretches from under 300 Euros for the entry-level device Dell C1765nf (colour) up to about 2,500 Euros for the top model Dell B5465dnf (black & white). Cheaper black & white laser printers such as the beloved Dell B1160w are available for around 100 Euros - a good choice for private users or smaller companies. Our shop offers the compatible ink cartridges and toner cartridges for laser devices for all current and much older printers, i.e. also for the Dell ink-jet printers.
