Performance characteristics and features of the Kyocera FS-1370DN
The Kyocera FS-1370DN facilitates black & white printouts with a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. After a warm-up period of approximately 20 seconds after the device is turned on, the laser printer needs about 7 seconds to print out a DIN A4 page. What's more, there is a 128MB memory for print orders that can be expanded to a total of 1,152 MB. In addition to an RJ45 network connection and a USB 2.0 port, the Kyocera FS-1370DN has an insertion slot for an internal printer server and one for CompactFlash cards. The paper tray for the Kyocera FS-1370DN has space for maximum 250 sheets of paper, while the universal feeder can hold a total of 50 sheets. Printouts can be made from both trays in letter, Folio, Oficio2, Legal, A5, A6, B5 and A4 formats. User-defined formats from 105 x 148mm to 216 x 297mm can also be printed. The duplex unit is compatible with the formats A4, Oficio2, Legal, Folio, and Letter. At a weight of 12kg, the dimensions of the black & white laser printer are 375 x 393 x 267mm (W x D x H). The volume while the printer is in operation is approx. 55 decibels, while the volume is 30 decibels in stand-by mode. There is also a silent mode for even quieter operation.
Replacing the toner in the Kyocera FS-1370DN
The printer shows a message as soon as the toner cartridges are almost empty. Before the toner can be replaced, any storage media in the direct vicinity should be moved to prevent damages due to magnetic charges. Then, the upper panel can be opened so that the toner cartridge is visible. The lock can be released via the latch on the left side of the cartridge in order to replace the toner.
