The Samsung CLX-3175 has four toner cartridges. The status LED and a message on the display indicate which cartridge needs to be replaced. You should wait a few minutes once the device has been turned off to allow the Samsung CLX-3175 to cool down. Then open the front panel and remove the empty cartridge using the handles. The new toner cartridge must be shaken well before being inserted to ensure the even distribution of the toner. Once the packaging has been removed by tearing off the tape, the cartridge is inserted in the correct slot and pressed until it clicks into place. The front panel is then put back on and the printer is turned on.
