Quick photo-quality prints from the Canon PIXMA iP4700
The iP4700 uses a FINE printer head that produces prints with a 9,600 x 2,400 dpi resolution. Despite the extremely high resolution of the prints, the printer still operates at remarkable speeds. 10 x 15 margin-less prints can be produced in less than 20 seconds. For normal printing the device produces 9.2 B&W pages per minute and 8.1 colour ppm. The printer’s duplex function allows for easy double-sided printing. Two paper storage units house a combined 300 sheets of paper.
The Canon PIXMA iP4700 supports A4, A5, B5 and letter paper formats. The rear paper tray allows for the printing of 10 x 15, 20 x 25 and 13 x 18 cm prints. Envelopes can also be printed. The extra attachment for CDs and DVDs allows users to customize their own media using the Canon PIXMA iP4700. A port for connecting digital cameras and smartphones directly to the printer (PictBridge) is also integrated into the device. While in use, the printer produces only 46.5 decibels of active noise when printing in standard mode.
Changing the ink cartridges in the Canon PIXMA iP4700
As soon as one of the printer's five ink cartridges is empty, the orange signal light will begin to flash. A notification will also be sent to the computer via the printer software and further information about the printer status will also be provided. To remove the cartridge(s), open the top panel and wait for the printer head to come to the centre position. Then you can easily snap out the old cartridges and insert new ones.
