Product details for the HP DeskJet 3050
The HP DeskJet 3050 measures 42.7 x 24.9 x 40 centimetres and weighs only 3.6 kilograms. The device consumes only 9 Watts when in use. It also offers users the option to choose the level of print quality. When printing at the minimum quality level, called “draft”, the printer can produce 20 pages per minute in black & white and 16 pages per minute in colour. Naturally the print speed is reduced when printing at a higher quality level. Both the paper input and output trays can be retracted to save space when not in use. The HP DeskJet 3050 also has an integrated flatbed scanner, which can also be used to make copies without being connected to a computer. The paper input tray holds up to 60 sheets of paper. The device is capable of printing with a resolution of 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, which is particularly important in photo printing. The scanner offers a resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Additionally, the HP DeskJet 3050 is Wi-Fi capable and has a USB 2.0 port.
Changing the ink cartridges in the HP DeskJet 3050
The printer contains two separate ink cartridges, one black and one colour. In order to change the cartridges, lift up the scanner section, which can be held in place with a small lever. This automatically sends the cartridges to a central position, where they can be easily exchanged. The ink levels can be easily monitored on a connected computer. HP offers its own range of ink cartridges for this device.
