The functional characteristics of the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 combines a colour ink-jet printer, scanner, copier and fax machine in one multifunctional device. The housing is black. The all-in-one device prints at a speed of 18 black & white pages or 13 colour pages per minute. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 works with a resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. The ink-jet printer's paper tray holds 250 sheets. The integrated scanner has a resolution of 4800 dpi and a colour depth of 24 bits. The scanning speed is less than ten seconds. Maximum 12 pages can be copied per minute in colour or in black & white, and faxing is also possible without a PC connection. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 has two USB ports, two RJ-11 modem ports and an LAN connection. Furthermore, it is Wi-Fi-capable and can also be wirelessly integrated into a network. The integrated card reader (for SD and Memory Stick Duo) allows for direct printing. The multifunctional device functions with all common operating systems such as OS X, Linux, and Windows.

Replacing the ink in the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 

The printer must be turned on in order to replace the ink cartridges. Once the access panel for the cartridge holder has been opened, wait until the holder has stopped moving. Press on the ink cartridge that needs to be replaced in order to remove it from the holder and then replace it with a new cartridge. Finally, close the cover – and the printer is ready for use.
